Becoming a Registered Dietitian

I recently graduated from a 4 year university with a BS in biology and I am now waffling on what to do with my life. Nutrition is so interesting to me and I feel I could really help people with my experiences when I reach my goal.
Just wondering if anyone can give me advice who has taken or knows someone who has taken this path.
Private practice or not. Salary. Masters program or second bachelors? That kind of thing.
I have found a couple of online programs that offer a second bachelors or masters. It takes 2 years plus a half a year for the prerequisites.
Is it worth it?

Hmmm odd. I researched the spelling and it can be spelled both ways. The widely accepted spelling is with a "t" as in dietitian.0

I guess it depends where in the world you are, I prefer the 'c' version cuz otherwise it says "tit" in the middle, which makes me giggle, but I am puerile.
Aaaanyway, from my experience (I work in student enquiries at a university) I would suggest looking at the careers pages of health services. I don't know where you are but in the UK the nhs careers website is very helpful. Look on websites, ring the human resources sections of companies where you'd like to work. Get it from the horse's mouth. Fundamentally find out exactly which qualifications you need for your pathway, check whether it helps if the qualification gives you membership to a national/chartered society. (For instance, many students do psychology degrees only to find out that where they did it, doesn't give them membership of the British Psychological Society. They're displeased!) Make use of any free career services (avoid the advice of those that try to get you to sign up with a particular educational institution).0 -

yeah, "die tit ian" looks wrong to me too, even if it isn't. Maybe it's the astigmatism but too many i's and t's together for me.
Seems the UK Home Office got it wrong too http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/businessandcommercialoccsheet/dietician.pdf?view=Binary0 -
