but I really am curious if the body image we have in our brain is what we grew up with
I'm not sure about this. I was never overweight--even at my highest weight, I was still in the healthy range for my height. I was VERY skinny as a child and for most of my teens. Maybe that does have to do with my body image, although I rarely felt fat. I grew up with a 4'11" anorexic stripper mother who criticized the appearance of all females all the time. I'm pretty much hardwired to hate my appearance. But I'm funny and smart and moderately talented at certain things, so I can love myself anyway.

Down at the lowest I've been since a young teenager (around 12.5% BF).

However that means I pay even more attention as I'm happier looking at my belly (and admit do admire it's lack of size daily in the mirror - perhaps not something a bloke should say :P) - so if I've eaten a bit much and I'm sitting down it actually seems a bit big, it gets all distressing, but is a good reminder to keep it under control.
