Will you be my friend?

Hello all,
I am 27, and have never been into social networking. I had Ulcerative Colitis, was diagnosed with Toxic Megacolon, and underwent three surgeries to replace my large intestine with a "j-pouch". Feel free to google "toxic megacolon" or "j-pouch" if interested. I have completely recovered from the procedures, and am finally settling into a normal lifestyle again! I love my family more than anything in the world, and my wife, especially, is one of the only reasons I am still here today. I have two beautiful daughters to boot!!
My wife is not ready to commit at the same level as me to diet and exercise (I don't blame her...I was kind of forced into it!). I can tell that I get on her nerves when i talk about counting calories all day, so that is where my new myfitnesspal friends will come in!! I am looking to make some friends that get as excited as i do about being healthy, and possibly some fellow j-pouchers if you're out there (or any other IBD's for that matter)...because i can definitely relate!
In the last year, I have....
Lost 90 pounds
quit smoking
quit drinking
stopped eating out
made a commitment to being healthy
I would like to....
Stick to my eating habits
begin exercising consistently
have muscles that show

Hi! I recently joined MFP and could use a few motivational buddies too. I can definitely relate to your comment about babbling about calories all day. I'm definitely driving my hubby crazy! I'm 36, a busy professional, and mom to a 9 year old girl and 13 year old boy. Congratulations on your ongoing recovery and for making a commitment to your health. I look forward to celebrating successes with you!!!

Hi, I have Crohn's disease. So I have some of the same symptoms. I haven't had to go as far as surgery, Praise the Lord. But, I understand what your going through. See I had the opposite problem. Last year I weighed 100 pounds, and my doctor said you need to gain weight. So I spent the year trying ti gain weight. It took me a while but I gained like 40 pounds , in a year and a half.
Now, I am a little too over weight! I have tried to loose weight , and I am not getting anywhere!
I do Zumba 3 times a week, and have been for a year. All my friends , and even my mother has lost weight. Me, I have gained 20 pounds of muscle. So check my profile and add me if you like.0
