HELP!!! Plasma vs LCD vs LED
**Non MFP Question** .... in the market for a new TV. I thought that I wanted a LED but after researching a bit it looks like a plasma might work best for the room. Very very large room with seating/viewing from all angles. My quandry is that I had heard that plasma tv's expire or run out of gas or something along those lines..... Any input??

To be honest, it's hard to say which is the best. They have so many out there now. I would carefully research though each model and verify that they aren't having issues. If you go to the stores, a lot of times they'll have them displaying on the screen in high def and you can tell if you like the picture. The other issue is the speed of the tv when it comes to the screen. I can't remember what it's called but I know there's a difference between some tv's on the speed at which the whole thing fires which means your picture will look better and smoother at times. It's something to do with the refresh rate. Here's an interesting article that sorta discusses it. I don't think anyone can really say one is better over the other...it depends on features, refresh rates, HTMI connectors (how many) and a variety of other factors like is it 3D? Do you need batteries? I must admit, I don't like the 3D screens that require batteries. A lot of times they require you sit super close which is a pain. The new ones don't require batteries and the view is fantastic from anywhere in the room.
