even personal trainers need help sometimes

Hi all,
I am a certified personal fitness trainer that has a weight issue, became sedentary as a student and packed on more than just a little extra weight (thank you junk food). I have been back in the gym now for over a year and struggling to get off the extra pounds. I am strong again and in reasonable cardiovascular shape (still work in progress). But I have a food habit that I am using this site to help break I hope.
Looking for support to stay away from junk food habit which became my down fall as a student and a night shift worker, also menopause hasn't helped since it slowed my metabolism as well. Any helpful hints to replace chocolate and chips with.

Make a slow transition!
Replace sweets with fruit, but maybe have strawberries dipped in chocolate as a start. Then eventually lose the chocolate.
For me, honestly if I read the ingredients list it's enough to turn me off most foods.
But try baking your own chips!
Sweet potato chips, potato chips, kale chips etc.
It's a bit more effort, but if you take some time on a day you have some down time, you'll be able to bake enough to last you to snack on all during the week.
What has really helped me is a cheat day. I work hard during the week to be very regimented, but then on Sunday I can eat whatever I want without the guilt.
Balance is important. So is moderation.
You don't have to cut everything out, just cut out the extra!0
