I've Got a Tape Worm

No, not a real tape worm!

I have been sticking with a set calorie range and usually feel great on a day to day basis. I have plenty of energy for my workouts, my skin is clear, don't feel hungry, and I generally feel great......BUT.....I have noticed that every 2-3 weeks or so I will have a day where I am just plain hungry. It will seem like I just can't get enough food, no matter how much protein or carbs I take in. I call these my "tapeworm" days.

I'm just curious if anyone else has days like this?

    I sure do!

    I usually eat more but try not to go too far off my calorie target. I need to do beter at gettingthe extra calories from healthy sources rather than junk.

    Junk just makes me hungrier.

    I was under the impression that a lot women get those one a month, at least the ladies on this website seem to make it make it look so.

    I totally get tape worm days. It's usually on a rest day after a couple of consecutive workout days. It's like the hungry (tapeworm) takes 24 hours to catch up with me or something. I just get voraciously hungry.

    It usually happens when I'm stressed out about something. It "eats" at me.

    I totally get it also, I just eat a bit more those days usually it is after I have worked out alot and my body just needs to catch up with me

    Sounds like hormonal shifts. Be thankful that your body works the way it is intended to work.

    Once in a while, certainly not weekly though. I think for me it tends to coincide with either not enough sleep or an unusual amount of activity that I didn't log because it wasn't technically "exercise", but added up anyway.

    True for me :laugh:

    But, instead of just once -- twice/month isn't uncommon for me.....ovulation and my actual period :drinker:

    I have days like this. They usually happen the day after I do a hard workout. For example tomorrow will probably be one because today I did 2 hours of cardio and weights for 30 minutes and even though I eat on these days it is hard for me to put away 2400-2600 healthy calories.
