Successful Break Up with the Scale?

I admit it. I am addicted to the scale. I weigh myself almost every day (I know, I know). I get excited for "good news" and bummed out with "bad news". I do understand the fluctuations and put things in perspective.
Has anyone gotten over the scale? How did you do it?
When I wasn't trying to lose weight I went by how my clothes fit, but feel now that I need to be accountable...how do I do that without the scale?
