umm, enter each one as an ingredient in your recipe folder, give it a name - then it's just one entry in your food diary....

On your food page is a tab on the bar for recipes. You can enter your own recipes for use in your food diary. Just follow the directions there and remember to hit enter after each ingredient. It will ask you how many the recipe serves and then the site will calculate the calories, carbs, etc for you. I am not computer savy and I managed to do it so I am confident that you will have no trouble at all.

^^This. I do this often when cooking recipes or throwing my own recipe together.

I tried this and I can find the recipe for reference but it doesn't show up when I try to use it in my food diary. I got some message about it being submitted for consideration so I thought I couldn't just have my own private recipes for my own use - that it had to be approved for general use? So now i am reading this and thinking I did something wrong?

You might have checked the button about sharing in MFP. I just hit the save recipe button for my own personal use. I have lots of recipes - so much easier than having to enter each item in the diary.

You can also go into your recipes, if you have them them saved in that tab, mouse over the name and at the end of the line will be option to "add to diary" or "delete". If you hit "add to diary" it will ask which meal or snack to add it to.
