Experience with intermittent fasting

I am trying out intermittent fasting. I've read that there are a number of benefits to this and I'd like to see if they'll work for me, particularly in terms of the good it does one's digestive tract to have rest periods.
My plan is to fast on Mondays. I ate dinner on Sunday night. Is it "too long" to wait until Tuesday morning to eat, or should I restrict it to 24 hours? I believe I am at 21 hours of no food at the moment. I feel I could probably wait until morning to eat, but I don't want the hunger to keep me up tonight.
Can anyone who has done this shed some light on the topic? Can you sleep if you go to bed hungry?

You should eat monday dinner. That is 24 hours fast (EAT STOP EAT).
This is what I do.
Finish my dinner by 7PM then the next day, do my work out 1st then
eat my dinner at 7PM. DO cardio work out while fasting will burn more fat.
Google on youtube for Brad Pilon to get more info.0 -
The fasting that I follow means I eat Sunday night and then a small meal (500) calories Monday night. I am not really hungry, just peckish when I go to sleep. I will have breakfast on Tuesday. I do this twice a week. Other people have different regimes but this suits me.0

Some people can't sleep if they eat at night. Haven't heard anyone complain about not being able to sleep on an empty stomach but it probably depends on the person.

I would have a light dinner tonight and then have breakfast Tues morning. I was more of a daily IF-er, where I ate inside a window from 1pm-6pm daily. I did this for a couple of months, but it wasn't right for me. However, I do still do a 24-hour fast once in a while and I never have a problem sleeping on an empty stomach.
Good luck0 -
Thank you, all. I think I'll try a couple of different ways and see how they work for me over the next few weeks.
I have to say, I can sort of understand how people can sort of enjoy fasting. It actually DOES produce an interesting effect.0 -
I could never do that. That takes way too much effort, Id rather lift harder and eat more than make my tummy hungry for even a moment :P
But good on those who can. Thats a power I do not possess.0
