Weight loss goals?

Hello! My name is Madison and I am fed up with the extra weight I have gained, so here goes nothing... I am sure there are posts every where with questions similar to mine, but I am always so scared of doing something wrong! When my husband and I met I was 5'2 and a very comfortable 125/130 pounds. I find that my body weight fluctuates frequently. I was a size 4/6 in jeans. Since his last 12 month deployment I shot up to 160 pounds and went to a size 12. Since my weight gain I have been miserable. What is a realistic time frame to drop 35 pounds and keep it off?

I keep reading mixed reviews, some say that pacing yourself and running for miles makes you flappy while sprinting makes you toned and vise-versa. I have free full access to a handful of nice gyms but I wouldnt even know where or how to start! Could anyone share maybe their daily meal plan and maybe a workout regime that will cut body fat? Thanks in advance!
