Hey everyone. I don't have any mirrors around my workout rig, and no one to come over to do a form check that is knowledgeable on the topic. With that in mind I did a video on my phone to do a form check video. I think I could have done better placement of the camera, but I wanted to lift
The weight isn't anything to write home about, but I'd appreciate any critique on my form.

camera was to high but it looks like you aren't quite there.0

strive to get about 6 inches lower. perhaps more. personally, i hate when people descend like they just jumped into a bottomless cavern and i go down slower and more controlled. but on a lot of form videos that's the way people do it so maybe i learned it wrong. but when i drop like the bottom fell off the elevator i find myself putting stress on my low back at the bottom of the rep0

I'll do another one tomorrow and position the camera better.0

I'm really quite short, so 6 inches lower than what I'm doing will probably put my *kitten* on my heels. The speed depends on what you're doing IMO. I'm going for lifting strength so I go down at a moderate pace, and push up as hard as I can. Once I finish the first 12 weeks of SL5x5 I'll probably start working on the stability muscles by going up/down slower and at a more controlled pace.0 -

Some people go faster and get that bounce out of the bottom. Personally I'm scared that I would "snap some *kitten* up" going for that.0 -

I go fairly slow but I know I bounce at the bottom, I try to burst out of the hole0 -

I'm wearing gloves because Squats is just my first set, and I like to go ahead and get them on.0 -
Yea, I'm going to film another set tomorrow. I'll try to angle the camera better.

awesome. I'll check those out when you post them.
I suppose my question was mainly why are you wearing gloves for any lift?0 -
Go little lower. Keep your chin down.0
