Finally making a change

I am a 27 year old identical twin. I weighed in at 285 lbs at 6' tall. My twin brother weighed 70 lbs less than me.

I have dieted many times over the years with varying success but I was limited by my mindset. I had previously thought of what I was doing as a diet. That implies that its temporary, something I have to suffer through until I reach a goal.

This is a fundamental shift that I have never seen before and I see it as a lifestyle change.

I am working out 4 times a week and following the calorie counting plan perfectly and not using the calories I gain from working out.

I have lost 20 lbs and counting.

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

This is my first post and hopefully not my last!

    Great Job!
  • Thanks!

Its so difficult having someone who looks identical to you except that he's in good shape. I have been labeled as the "fat guy" for way too long and I am tired of it.
  • Hi,
I am an identical twin as well but worse (we are called mirror image twins which means that if I have a mole on my right side, she has one on her left, etc, etc.). My sister is in the military and in awesome shape. Here's to one step in the right direction!!! Please feel free to add me if you like.
