Consider it kicked! Have a healthy breakfast. Do some exercise. Go lift something heavy. Start making the small changes and the big ones will follow!! Now go get your shrink on!!

It takes 90 days to start a habit but only 3 to break it....You have a choice to make but know that for every 2 pounds you gain in no time it will take a week or 2 to lose it. Good luck on your journey!

In my experience, people will not lose weight and get healthier until they get their mind right. Sit down and figure out if this is really what you want and how badly do you want it? Sounds crazy but I run across many clients who SAY they want it, but in the end...they don't. They won't sacrifce, take advice or invest in themselves.

So if you want it, get it in your head, be positive that you will reach your goals. Find people who motivate you and do it! :flowerforyou:

If you don't start now, you will begin to regret it. I have lived from that experience. Small changes like adding fruits and veggies to your day and a 30 minute workout can feel like wonders at the end of the day. Good luck!

I think Victoria hit on something here... You are looking for external stimuli to get started; it has to be important to you. Yes, others can motivate us to keep us going but it will only work with the right mindset. That being said, maybe trying to get some idea of what has caused your gloomy mood and perhaps to deal with that issue on the front end... Of course, bad eating decisions and lack of exercise can both contribute to depressed moods and such. Perhaps that in and of itself may help you make the quality decision to get back on track. Best wishes on your journey.
  • I have SAD and every autumn it all goes out the window, compulsive carbs, low motivation for anything. I put on weight then magically it all comes off in April. I try not to beat myself up but it is upsetting. I am buying myself a SAD light for Christmas. My doctor says it will make a big difference.

You should buy one now! Think about all the money you will save on groceries over the next two months. Perhaps you will save $100 a month or more... there are tons of options for $200 or less.
