For those on maintenance

Do you continue logging your food and exercise? I've lost the motivation to do so. I've been tracking my weight and I'm on target, even below my maintenance goal. So, I'm cool where I am and it doesn't seem like tracking it adds any value to my life. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. if I ever step on the scale and see an increase over what I would like, I would defintely start tracking again and get back on track. I weigh weekly.
What about you. If you're in maintenance mode, have you tried not tracking and see how things go. I thought it was scary at first, but I seem to be fine on my own. At least for now. I do worry about the holidays coming up though.

I have been in maintenance for almost 2 years, and I still faithfully log in and record exercise and food every day. I don't record every bite that goes into my mouth, like I did when I was losing, but I get the most of them. I'm afraid NOT to record!
Congratulations on reaching your goal!0 -
I'm not on maintenance right now but for long time I was and I still kept tracking everything. For some people it might work but for some if they don't track everything they won't stay at maintenance. I'm one of them. You don't even notice how you start to rising up slowly, hehe. If I don't check how much I ate I ate too much and get fat again.... ^^0

Well, I still weigh in every Friday. So, if I see my weight creeping up, I can make adjustments. If I see it hit a certain weight, I've told myself, I'll need to get back on the program. So far so good.
Just wondering. Thanks for the feedback in appreciate it.0 -
I've been maintaining since February. I stopped logging weekends, vacations, or any sort of travel where it is too much of a hassle (Though I am still making good choices). I weigh-in every week or two to keep me on track and will faithfully log every morsel if I start to gain weight. The only times I have gained so far was after a 2 week vacation out of the country and even then it was only 2 pounds. So I came home, logged faithfully and then went back to my weekday logging routine.
I am a big proponent of doing whatever works for you. Logging every stinking bite I eat for the rest of my life sounds awful and tedious. I can't and won't do it. I am good with what I am doing now and so far it has been sustainable and has worked. I truly learned what a reasonable portion is thanks to MFP and when I apply that to every day life, everything seems to balance out OK.0
