Too many carbs, too few calories...food suggestions?

Hi, I just started with MFP and its going good so far but I find that I'm eating too many carbs although I'm not exceeding my daily number of calories.... is there any suggestions of low to no carb foods that I could up my daily number of calories without continuing to go over my daily carbs limit? Any ideas would be appeciated, thanks!!

    A great way to still keep carbs in your diet but have them be from healthy sources is to eat carbs like quinoa (also an excellent source of protein), beans, barley. These also have lower amounts of carbs than, say, a piece of bread or a bowl of pasta would have.

    Other sources of low carb foods would be low-fat dairy (or even full-fat, like cheeses, cottage cheese, greek yogurt), eggs, turkey jerky (though watch the sodium!!)

    An easy low carb snack could be a couple slices of turkey wrapped around a low-fat cheese stick. Or have a salad loaded with chicken or shrimp and topped with sunflower seeds and egg whites. There are lots of options....you just gotta be creative!! :smile:
