I read somewhere a while ago that lemon and lime juice added to your water will help you lose weight? Is this a myth?

    Myth.

agree^ It is a very mild diuretic and may cause you to get rid of some extra water. Not weight though. It's delicious in water and I often drink it that way for a little variety!

I'm not sure if this is a myth or not but I don't wanna make any guesses simply because I have not made my own research on it, so that would be silly. One thing for sure, it can't harm you. Adding some lemon to water can make it tastier and helping you to get that bottle down, and it's always good to be hydrated.
Also, one of the above posters mentioned that it can dehydrate you. Well, yes, until a point. If you would drink a lemonade with huge amount of lemon juice in it then obviously it will dehydrate you. But a few drops of sugar free lemon to water just for flavor and taste wont. It's a water vs lemon juice balance. Even if lemon juice you take dehydrates you, you still can drink enough of water to keep you hydrated perfectly and also take all the good benefits from lemon.
Lemon is very rich in vitamin C as well as antioxidants what will keep you looking young, help your cells clean and to get all the bad chemicals out of your body. ^^
