Carbs: too much of a good thing?

Hey, so I know there are "good" carbs and "bad" carbs out there. The "good" ones (the complex carbs) come from things like whole wheat and fruits and vegetables. Well, because of my schedule, I am usually gone from my house from 8 am to 8 pm. So in an effort to snack healthy, I like to bring things like bananas, carrots, apples, etc to have throughout my day. Because of this, I'm finding it hard to keep within my quota for carbs for the day because all of these healthy snacks have 20+ per serving. Is there such a thing as too many carbs even when they are coming from things like fruits, whole wheat, and veggies?

I have just answered a similar question:

When you're tracking your calories on this site, it gives you the recommended break down of carbs to protein to fat ratios. If you're active, I would up my protein a little bit. Sugars are a source of carbohydrates. Ever heard of the principle IIFYM "If It Fits Your Macros"? It basically relates to your question by stating that you can (and should) eat foods containing sugar in order to fulfill your daily requirements of macro nutrients (carbs, fats, protein). All you have to do is aim to be at a caloric deficit by the end of the day and meet these requirements. No need to complicate things further.

do not worry about carbs. period.

eat an appropriate number of calories (between BMR and TDEE) and move your body.

Consider using almonds... 10 at a time about 3 times per day 70 calories each time... Fat is harder to break down and when eaten in conjunction with fruits will provide a longer lasting fuel for lower total calories... A cheese stick for those that aren't lactose intolerant also works in a similar way... Other nuts or edamame are other options if almonds don't work for you. The key is to get enough fat and protein in at each snack to keep off hunger until the next meal.
