Is there such thing as working out to much?

It seems like when I do cardio everyday I lose less, but when I slack and only workout 3 times a week I lose more, am I missing something? Am I working out to much? Or is it just my body?

I often am hungrier and I eat more on days when I work out, or the day after. You may need to exercise less while you control your calories.

Too much cardio is not always helpful. I ran marathon after marathon and gained weight year after year.

You can't out exercise the calories. Fat loss is all about calories.

Why not try a free weight lifting routine 3 days a week, and cardio on the alternate days? It will do the best for shaping your lean body mass. There are a lot of weight lifting routines out on the forum.
  • Yes, it's called injury and loss of muscle mass.

Alternate cardio with weights, get all your nutrition in at a reasonable caloric deficit, and get a rest day at least once a week.
