Why do most cereals make me want to eat more of them? The only one I can eat without wanting more is weet bix. I do love weet bix but I like a change. I bought some sultana bran and simply love it but it is so moreish.
Does anyone else have this problem with cereal?
Does anyone know of any cereal that doesn't make you want to eat more?

If you like wearing a tin foil hat, it's because of evil corporations adding things that make you want to crave it more. You may just enjoy sweeter more sugary items hence you want to eat more of it0 -
Mini Wheats, those things are like wheet bix on crack!0

I eat frosted mini wheats but usually just a bowl is enough for me. But the serving size is like 1/2 of what I consider to be a good sized bowl... I usually eat 2 servings.0

I think it's the sugar - most cereals taste like dessert. I use cereal as an add-on to yogurt and fruit - plunk the yogurt in a bowl, top it up with fresh fruit and and a quarter cup of cereal for a little crunch and sweetness. It's great for breakfast and keeps me full for hours. I particularly like Nature's Path Pumpkin Seed granola. But I would never sit down to a whole bowl of it, the stuff is calorie dense. But also delicousness dense.0

Thanks guys. I still eat weet bix and have got to the stage where I only add a quarter teaspoon of sugar. Sultana bran is just an occasional treat. I fought the craving this morning.
Yup, I love sweet stuff. Just wish my taste buds didn't....0 -

I live on cereal! I don't have the issue of wanting more. Actually, when I have issues hitting my calorie goal, I will use cereal to help by doubling the serving size from 3/4 cup to 1 1/2 cups.0

Try the Kashi go lean line. High in fiber and protien with low sugar. Holds me much better than most cereals.0

Thanks. Did a google and they are very expensive. I also realised that it's an American cereal. I'm an Aussie.
I only on a occasion by other cereal. I bought sultana because it was on special. I get more servings out of a box of weet bix.0 -
I am a Malt-O-Meal fan. Gives me just the right "umph" go get through my outdoor morning run and lasts until lunch time! Great stuff. Sometimes I'll add a little Cocoa powder and make it chocolaty but usually just eat it plain.0
