So what do you all when things in your life spiral out of control, for me i eat, and i just really realized that this week that i can not control my eating when i feel this way..... The thought of going for a walk or exercising is just not something i feel physically i can do... I guess for me i also realized that emotions i feel almost take away any desire to get up and exercise..... What do i do?????? How do i get past this??? Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated..... Thanks....

(((hugs))) I have been there, it's how I got fat in the first place. It's really hard sometimes. I have found if I can just get to the gym and take out my frustration via exercise it helps. If not, I try to go to sleep as early as possible. If neither, I eat something healthy that will take awhile (like an apple), chew gum, drink herbal tea, anything to keep myself from going into the kitchen and binging all my cares away.0

What helped me when I was first starting out was to "FORCE" myself to walk around the block at least. I had to stop and rest several times for the first few weeks. It took quite a while, but I now really enjoy walking and hiking-anything to get outdoors for a change of scenery. Also, it helps to distract me from mindless eating-comfort food syndrome. Often if you can just distract yourself from the food thoughts for a little while, then you can make it moment by moment to your next planned meal or snack. You can try brushing your teeth. That helps some ppl. Or you can chew gum. That also helps. Keep only healthy food choices readily available so you can grab some baby carrots instead of a twinkie?
Good luck. You'll figure it out if you just don't give up.

ETA-you can go for a walk even if it's only a few feet. Start small. Anything is better than nothing and it all adds up for each small success you have you can focus on that.0 -
I've struggled with overeating before and someone suggested Overeater's Anonymous (O.A.) check their website out. It is pretty helpful.0
