4 for 5 challenge *always open* week 4, Jan 25

Ok, this is a thread I was part of on My food diary a couple of years back. I can't pay for mfd right now, and I like mfp, so I thought I'd start it here.
Here's the deal: there are five goals:
1. log all food and drink
2. stay within calories
3. exercise 30 minutes
4. drink your water
5. do something for your mind. this can be spiritual, or just relaxing at home with your kiddos. whatever improves your spirit or mind.
6. you can have your own optional goal of your choosing, like an extra 15 min of exercise or something, but this does not count toward grace days.
The challenge starts every monday, please check in by sunday night for the next week. Every night, log onto the thread to report what you did that day. If you met at least 4 out of the 5 goals, you are still in the challenge. If you meet all five goals for three consecutive days, you earn a grace day to use when you flub. Each challenge member is responsible for keeping track of their own grace days. Grace days can be banked as well. If you are really on top of things, it is possible to earn two grace days a week.


If you mess up a day and don't have any grace days, just join us again on the next sunday night, but keep in touch on the thread.

    I wasn't happy with my weigh in yesterday so I stepped on the scale again this morning and I have lost a lb.:happy: Not going to log it in until Thursday when I weigh in I know it is on Friday but won't be able to on Friday. :flowerforyou: Good luck on everyone's weight loss.     Friday's Totals:

    45 minutes on the elliptical
    Logged all my food
    Remained w/in my calories
    Drank at least 12 glasses of water
    Met a friend for dinner

    Saturday's Totals:

    30 minutes on treadmill & 45 minute kickboxing class
    Logged all my food
    Remained w/in my calories
    Drank 8 glasses of water
    Took a nice, long nap

    Chocolickkyss: 5/5 and I have earned my 2nd pass (grace day) for the week and my 6th overall.

    Also, I checked my food diary for yesterday and I drank 10 glasses of water not 12 like I stated in Friday's totals.

    Had time to myself while sleeping and enjoying staying out of the freezing rain

    had fun setting up our new TV and entertainment center
    Didn't exercise needed a day off after Jillian beat me up. :laugh:

    I don't know how today is going to go because the MINNESOTA VIKINGS are in the PLAYOFF'S and we are going eat unhealthy. I'm sure this will help them make it to the SUPER BOWL :laugh:

    went horse back riding for 3 hours

    5 picked up my nephew from his friends he took a bath and went to bed

    Although I haven't posted in a couple of days, I'm still on track.

    I exercised for at least 30 minutes on Sunday, Monday and today
    I logged all my food on Sunday, Monday and today
    I remained w/in my calories on Sunday, Monday and today
    I drank at least 8 glasses of water Sunday, Monday and today
    Sunday, I watched the football games, Yesterday, I chatted on the phone w/a nice guy, today I will watch the biggest loser

    Chocolickkyss: 5/5 Sunday, 5/5 Monday, 5/5 Tuesday

    If I remain on task tomorrow I will have earned my 7th consecutive pass (grace day) woohoo.

    The last few days I have not been motivated to exercise but i've been dragging myself out of the bed anyway and getting it done.

    I weighed in at the BL challenge I am doing. I lost 5 lbs--hooray! now I need to keep it up. My goal is to loose at least two this week. :smile: Thanks for keeping me accountable!

    I'm about to watch tv and relax for the evening

    Worked out for 90 minutes, thanks to the biggest loser, I can't stop til its done!

    i am having a horrible week logging and exercise wise. hubs went out of town so i'm a single mommy. couple that with 18 hours of school and almost full time work, and a sick kiddo (just a yucky cough) and my routine went out the window completely.
    I will do my best to keep the thread updated each week, but i make no guarantees as to my logging and so on. I will do my best, but i'm struggling. time management has never been my strong suit.
