So, when you get home, do you sometimes skip the shower and just go straight to bed?...Just wondering if there are others out there like me, who occasionally do that...

    Ewwwwww! Pewwwww! No way! LOL.

Actually, I HAVE done this before. I have a funny story about one time how I came home from ZUMBA class exhausted, went to bed without even getting out of my Lycra workout clothes, woke up in the middle of the night with severe chest pains, thought I was having symptoms of a heart attack until I remembered I had my sports bra on! I removed it and my symptoms disappeared!

I have to shower as soon as I'm home. I'm a hot, sweaty, raggedy mess when I leave the Y. It's not pretty.

Yes, but I live alone and the dog doesn't care if I stink. :blushing:

My muscles are less sore if I shower/bathe after a workout though.

I try to always shower at the gym, free water plus I have acne-prone skin so it is veryyy important for me to wash with facial cleanser ASAP. But if I get lazy sometimes I just wash my face, change into my pjs and call it a night. **** happens. Lol

No way! I would go to bed with my head soaked from sweat and smelling not so good. Are you working out hard enough because I sweat through my clothes and my whole head is wet.

It has happened a couple of times. It's rare, but sometimes when the endorphin rush wears off too soon, I'm barely left standing and can't bring myself to stay upright long enough for a shower (short version of the story behind this: I have an exertion-aggravated illness. Endorphins are a natural opiate produced by the body. Once they wear off, the pain and fatigue take over... but I push myself hard to gain muscle and lose weight, in the hopes it reduces my symptoms in the long run).

I also never shower at the gym, because I'm already hauling enough gear with me in the form of extra shoes, a small towel (my sweat rag for working out), water bottle, umbrella, etc... I just plain don't have room or weight allowance left to haul a full set of fresh clothes, too... and I'm usually walking at least 15 minutes there and 15 minutes back.

I do the same thing you do. I work two jobs and am a full time student. When I get home I work out and knock out go to sleep. Nothing wrong with that in my eyes. I take a shower every morning and don't smell like funk and continue to loose weight!!!

If you are sweaty then you have to shower, the sweat is a breeding ground for bacteria and who knows what else. My skin broke out just from keeping my workout clothes on too long, now I shower immediately instead of run errands after the gym. If you are absolutely so beat that you can't do the shower at least wipe off your skin with a damp towel.

Yes, I am a work horse, I'm dripping nasty, nasty...but, yeah, I was just measuring the "ick" factors of others...like I said, it is a rarity....

If you don't stink, then you are good to go. I sometimes don't shower after a workout, I hardly stink anyway.

I shower after the gym always. Even if I don't go to the gym, I always shower before bed no matter what time I get home.
