I love coming across blogs like this.

I know a lot of people are against body acceptance (or fat acceptance) but it's always reassuring to see people say they want to get FIT and not just THIN. <3

Good for her for finally realizing that she is overweight, I guess.

She says: "to be honest I love food too much to be on a diet for the rest of my life"

    And

"But I have wasted 7 years dieting and Im not going to spend the next 7 years dieting too…"

She's doing it wrong. I love food, too. I also managed to lose weight eating food that I love.

I get that it's supposed to be empowering but she was unaware that she was overweight , which many people are. I was ignorant to the fact that I was gaining as much weight as I did. But as far as the whole fat acceptance, I just don't see it. I'm not going to say I'm proud of being fat (subjective term, I know) because fat is usually (not always) associated with being unhealthy. Getting fat was easy, not hard. Getting fit and staying that way? That takes hard work and determination. That is something I will say I'm proud of.

Her love of cats troubles me.

Shes probably gone nuts from toxoplasma gondii with those cats - hence why shes naked in the snow.

If you're happy with an extra 10lbs on you and everything "under the hood" (a/k/a blood chemistries, EKG, etc) is fine, then good for you, so be it, nothing wrong with that. (Besides, I like my girls with curves). But I think about that Disney show where they tried to relay the message that it's OK to be overweight. Human was not designed to be overweight... so no, it's not OK. I think there's enough documented evidence of health concerns to support that claim.

    Gondii is no joke.

Her writing style is frank and honest. Self-reflective without being mopey. I like that.

I especially like her bit about not wasting another 7 years. That's something for me to keep in mind. Keep building towards a better life. YES.
