I log only the exercises i do.I dont understand why people log shopping, painting, bathing the dog , sweeping the floor as exercise!!! I do those as part of my everyday life not as exercise.

This depends on how you set your activity level-as others have implied. I have a job that has a varying activity level. Some days I am sitting all day working on the computer, other days I am on my feet almost all day. So, I have my activity set as "sedentary" and then if I have a day where I am up all day I log it as exercise. Each person has to figure out what works for him/her, according to your lifestyle. If all my days were the same- I'd just change my activity level.

Unless I walk a mile or more I don't log it. I pretty much just log cardio and strength training and try to put the specific exercises I did (push ups, chest press, etc..) so I can look back... although my trainer is always varying it up so it's hard to keep track of that.

I have found it's all about estimates - my trainer sessions I burn way more calories than my own work outs... but I log them both the same...

I don't bother logging cleaning, but some people do and if it is working for you, go for it!

All of this to me is about awareness and a general sense of what we're putting in our bodies, and our activities, and have a slight deficit balanced by healthy eating and exercise.

If you have your lifestyle listed as "active" then no -- I think that would be included already. If you have your lifestyle listed as sedentary, then probably.
