Been on a plan for almost 3 weeks, have been taking my medication faithfully for about 6 weeks now. Feeling so much better, but am still tired. Sleep 9-10 hours per night but still am tired when I wake up. I hope this will start to improve. Any suggestions?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Make sure you are taking in a multi-vitamin with iron. Also, get a physical to check your iron levels, you might have anemia.

I don't know about you, but grains make me feel tired like: gluten, oats, and corn. When I cut these out, I noticed I wasn't tired anymore.

Another thing might be that you have food allergies. I was recently tested and I found out I'm allergic to milk products and eggs. Mind you, I've been eating both for all my life, and never had stomach or intestinal issues. Since cutting those items from my diet (and it isn't easy, I have added a half hour to my shopping trips because of major label reading), I have had so much more energy. I used to get up, drive the kids to school, eat breakfast, and litterally be back in bed by 10:30 for a nap. I'd sleep until 2 or 3 and get up. I'd then fall asleep on the couch anywhere between 8 and 9 at night, and do the whole thing all over again. Since beeing dairy and egg free, I get up (sometimes before my alarm goes off even), stay awake all day, and am awake to see each of the kids go to bed at night. I generally go to bed between 10:30 and 11, and my alarm goes off at 6. Yes, there are still days where I feel tired, but I'm not exhausted, and I don't feel the need to nap. It's nice to be normal again....
  • you say you are taking your meds but you don't say what type? have you had your thyroid hormone levels checked? and iron levels like almomay suggested? Have you discussed your fatigue with your doctor? Probably the best person to advise you on what to do since he or she will know your medical history and any side effects of medications you are taking.
