Green Coffee Beans - Anyone tried them?

I've read on several blogs and also seen on Dr. Oz the magical effects of these green coffee beans. I've only been taking them three days. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken them or knows anything about them? Dr. Oz said he did his own study and women lost an average of 17 pounds while changing NOTHING else in their diets or excercise. I'm changing my eating habits and excercising, but I thought if I could get a kick-start to my weight-loss with these, why not? The only thing I'm worried about is I'm really sensitive to caffiene (I don't drink soda or coffee and sometimes have scary heart palpitations when I do). Any thoughts?

They are a waste of money and another Dr. Oz scam.

If you have a predisposition to heart palpitations with caffeine, then definitely stop taking them if they have caffeine.

Don't worry about spending money on "weight loss kick starters." Just work on changing your habits long-term, and you'll find all the success you need.

This question comes up all of the time on these boards so I just copied and pasted my answer from the other day:

Other than Dr. Oz pimping them out, as far as I know there is no clinical evidence that they work. The study correlating green bean coffee extract to weight loss was SURPRISE! funded by a manufacturer of green coffee bean extract.
