Has anyone else noticed your calorie Intake go down?

Hey MFP Fam,

Recently I viewed someone's diary and they were monitoring their cholesterol. I thought, "Wow, I guess I should do that too. I want a nice healthy heart and I have high blood pressure, might as well." So I started monitoring it. Trying to keep that number below 300 and my sodium below the recommended has been a challenge. But I've noticed I don't even have to worry about calories as much now.

Really my calories just get lower and lower as I try to get those other two numbers in the right percentage. I've also changed my food choices because of that cholesterol number, Fat Free Cheese instead of regular, All Whites instead of eggs.

Has anyone else noticed changes in their diet overall as a result of monitoring what you are eating? What kinds of tips and swap outs do you do now?
