Fruit, Vegetables, and Fish diet?

So, I'm gearing up to enlist in the navy. Exercising 4 or more times a week, a mixture of cardio and strength training - and I'm seeing very little weight come off. I can see a physical difference for sure, but the scale has not been kind. I've been working out for 2 months as of now, and as a little extra push before I go see my recruiters again I want to lose several pounds before I see them at the end of next week. My sister suggested eating only fruits, vegetables, and occasionally lean meat (we have a lot of fish, so fish it is). Any projections on my results? Anyone have any better ideas?
Thanks guys!
