pain after sitting, numbness after standing or running

I was wondering if anyone received symptoms like those stated, in the subject. More precisely in their outer thigh?

The part you don't have to read....

I don't know when it started, but every time I sit down for about 30minutes or longer, my right outer thigh starts to get a sharp stabby feeling. And if I stood up, for along period of time, the pain would disappear and the area would be come numb.

The feeling went away or lessened for a bit of time, when I was exercising(recently stopped, due to the sun going down, before I could get outside), but since has came back. I am not looking for people to yell at me to get back outside, just wondering if anyone else had these symptoms. And, if so, did you ever find out why?

I have had similar symptoms with a pinched sciatic nerve. For me a softer mattress helped and chiropractor.

    I hope not.

Don't get me wrong, it is possible, My dad is(along with a long line of other family members and a number of other issues). I just have been watching everything, I could to keep them from happening.
  • Yes, it is possible that you have a pinched sciatic nerve...Go to chiro/sports med./rehab type of place they could help....
