If I'm in the mood to actually make something, I go to hungrygirl.com and she has a lot of great recipes for 100-200 calories.0 -
i keep a variety in the house at different calorie amounts, so i can wiggle in a snack even on a tight calorie day.
starting with (for days i'm really, really close; but just gotta have something!) 10 calorie sugarfree jello cups
60 calorie sugarfree puddings
90 calorie quaker mini-delight multigrain cakes (i especially like there are lots, not just 2 cookies in a pack)
50 calorie hummus (with additional calories for vegies to dip)
and i have a new discovery, last week i saw joy bauer on the today show and she showed roasted kale chips.
i made them, tried them, liked them, really. (my husband likes them too) i shared it with others at work that are trying to watch their weight - everyone thinks they are a great alternative to potato chips. they are crispy, salty- and leave you feeling like you've indulged. (by the way i've shared the recipe a couple of times on here. you can contact me or search kale chips and should find the recipe if you are interested)
so...my fifth snack is roasted kale chips 43 calories per cup.
