Sound muffling of home workout?

I turned on 30 day shred and with all of the hopping, jumping and bouncing, I'm sure the house sounded like it was about to cave in
Any suggestions on how to "muffle" the sounds? I saw these and was wondering if they're a good choice:

I used some of these and found they came undone easily. It also slid around as I was working out, both on carpet and wood floors Mind you, it wasn't this exact brand.
It did muffle the noise, but was useless when I was doing walking lunges and the like.
Ive switched to an area rug with a non slip under pad. It does muffle the noise and stays put.
I just roll it up for storage afterwards:)0
