So I went costume shopping yesterday! I've never been into dressing up for halloween because I was so ashamed of my body and didn't ever fit into anything cute.

But yesterday I went shopping and took 2 large costumes and a M/L into the dressing room and the large ones were TOO BIG!

It said they fit 10-14. (I'm usually a 10, but I'm getting closer to an 8.)

The M/L fit perfectly and I'm not one bit ashamed about my body. I don't even feel bad that the dress is skin tight because I've worked so hard to get down to 155 and DAMN RIGHT I'M SHOWING IT OFF THIS YEAR.

Just thought I'd share. (:

Anyone else have a similar experience?

congrat ! that awesome first time also that i fit in a halloween costume this year i will be a Viking Princess :P

I was going to recycle a previous costume this year but didn't realize how much weight I had gained since college. So I went to the halloween store and took some in to try on based on a guess of what might fit. I took in a M/L and a Large just like you and was in the same boat!!! The M/L fit but the large was too big! Unfortunately it turns out we aren't doing anything this year so I didn't wind up buying one but it was a nice feeling for sure!!!
