When you have reached your goal...

....Do you plan on sticking to MFP? Will you still count calories once you've reached your goal? Do you think you would be capable of sticking to your new healthy lifestyle, even without MFP? Are you afraid to gain weight when you go back to maintenance calories?
PS. Sorry if this is the wrong section!

honestly, very little of my diet would change without MFP, with the exception of the % of calories I eat from fat.
For some reason, I don't eat enough fat without tracking.
Yes, I joined MFP to eat more fat...0 -

I think I will stick to it. But not sure, things may change. Because for all my fitness goals to be completed 5 years would be minimum and in that time I may think differently than now. I very likely will have more knowledge about food and how much calories it approximately has than now, so that might not be necessarily to count them. Will see as time goes...0

I reached my goal about 6-8 weeks ago, but still log everyday and put everything in my diary.
Why ruin a good thing :laugh:0 -
I wil definitely stick with it. First of all, I would need to learn how to be on maintenance, and that might take some trial and error, and second, I love it here! The support has been so wonderful, I wouldn't want to ever just leave it like that. There may come a time when I won't feel the need to track every calorie (I HOPE!), but still, why would I leave? It's the people that keep me here, for the most part...0

Sorry that just made me laugh
But yes, once I finally reach my goal, I'm sticking with MFP for tracking reasons and so I know I'm not going over or under and I like the people here0 -
I've already started to ween myself off of logging. I figured it is more important to understand how to measure portions and fluid intake and to be honest with myself about how active I'm really being. Once I reach my goal, I will likely randomly log as I do now just to make sure I'm staying on track. I am a daily weight checker so If I gain back a certain amount of weight that I will set once I reach my goal and that weight holds for a week, I will likely then return to the tool full time until I have refreshed my skills and lost the regain.0

I think once I hit goal, I still will track because I find when I don't, I easily get out of control.0

Stick with it and set new goals, even maintenance can be classed as goal imo.0
