A Week full of NSV's!

I was very down at the beginning of the week because the scale did not show a good loss, and then I had so many NSV's that I started to lose count!

I put on some pants that I bought at the end of September, and I had to fold the waistband over just to keep them from falling down. I hit my goal of walking 100 miles during the month of October, and 400 miles since July 2nd! I resisted Friday pizza lunch and treats at my classroom Halloween party. I went to the office at my church and the pastor commented on how he lost his place in his announcements when he looked up and saw me walk into church last Sunday. And, my favorite NSV...I was at dinner with a friend when a mutual friend, whom I have known for at least 15 years walked in. She said hello to my friend and then smiled at me. When I said hello, she had a total look of shock! She did not recognize the new me!

The absolute best part of the week...I stepped on the scale today and was down 4 more pounds, which got me to just past my halfway goal!!!! All of those NSV's turned into a great Scale Victory too!

Great NSVs. Very happy for you. It is such a moral booster when others notice. Walking 100 miles in a month...my jaw dropped. Keep it up.

NSVs trump SVs 100% of the time; keep at it. That being said, many times the scale is dependent on water retention. Because of this, it varies a lot. For example .. earlier this week I was 233.4 This morning I weighed in at 237 but after moving around for a while rechecked and I was at 235... The difference? water retention... I had even eaten a light breakfast prior to the second step on to the scale... Never let the scale determine your progress... It is the least reliable method.
