I want to order pizza :/

So, I was going to make Spaghetti and all excited about meeting my protein for the day, but long story short I can't and now I don't know what to eat. I have had a horrible day and I just want to say to hell with it and order food instead. I feel so icky. -_- I also considered Eggplant Parmesan, but that also sounds too calorie filled on a day I didn't get to exercise.

If you have enough self control to order pizza and only have one slice. TWO MAX.... then go ahead.

But, I tend to have the least self control on days I don't work out, especially when I had a horrible day to begin with!!!

    Be careful!

I hate days like that. Im currently trying to decide what in the world I would like for lunch. The only things I have in the house are potato jems and cheese (I haven't done a shop in a while).

I ate a pierce of pizza yesterday at work and it was delicious. Definitely filled my craving. And it was somewhat healthy because they used whole grain dough. At least I tell myself that. Either way got my craving out of the way. Lol

You could always order a thin crust with veggies, and no extra cheese. Or something with a pesto based sauce...

When I *reallllllyyy* want something, I let myself have it. HOWEVER, I do it smartly. Instead of a whole pizza, I'll get a slice (like at the mall, or some of the little places that actually sell by the slice). If I want ice cream, I get one of those single size ones or get a kids scoop at an ice cream place, etc.

If I had said "i can never have_______ again", I would never have lost all the weight!! Its the same way with chocolate... I have a piece or two of dark chocolate with almonds, instead of an entire snickers bar.

If the rest of the week you have done well, and you feel confident that you will do well over the weekend, order a personal sized thin crust pizza, maybe Canadian Bacon with veggies. Sometime on a mentally bad day, you need to be good to your self.

why would you want to ruin pizza like that...

you want it in its full glory with all the cheese and grease...

Thanks for all the replies! If I had cauliflower I would so try cauliflower pizza. I have mushroom caps and someone mentioned mini mushroom pizzas, but right now I am avoiding the kitchen because it may start a world war :/ (my mom is in there and we been arguing allllll day I know horrible, but I just hate drama and would rather avoid it), I may order a veggie pizza. Not sure! What veggies are best? lol Which have protein? Haha. I could add some broccoli. I was going to have spaghetti so it isnt much difference. Noodles vs crust. sauce vs sauce. cheese vs cheese. It is just that I am ordering it instead. lol

I'm not saying I would eat mine like that, but it's an option if you want to keep the calories in check. If I'm having pizza, I mark it as a splurge day and make up for it the rest of the week.

Sounds like potential emotional eating to me. Which could be bad if you have a whole pizza in front of you!

I'm in the Chicago burbs. I'd just say don't get deep dish. I love thin crust pizza but I have a problem with stopping after a couple of slices. I don't know when I will trust myself to order pizza again. :/

This. I had it for dinner tonight!! Sooooooooo yummy! And it's only like 550 calories for 1/4 of a family size.

We have pizza at least once every week: I just "try" to stick to no more than 2 slices, usually pepperoni only just because it's easier to count/track. And I try to have a spinach salad or something else green with it...

But if you get really motivated, check out the "Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust" recipe on www.allrecipes.com. SUPER easy and very tasty. You can stretch it to thin crust to keep your crust portion smaller, but still have a big slice and you can control the ingredients you put on it to make it exactly what you need. I.e. count out the pepperoni, measure out the cheese, add more veggies to get to something reasonable AND tasty! LOVE that recipe and so does my non-dieting husband and kids!

moderation and portion control and you dont have to worry about the calories... not like you are going to have it night in and night out...

If you are in an area with Jet's Pizza you can splurge on a whole thin veggie pizza for less than 1K calories... I usually plan my whole day around it by eating low calorie foods for the rest of the day. You could eat half of the pizza with a spinach salad... Good luck!!!

OKAY so first I don't have those two pizza places :/ Second, I like stuffed more than deep dish yummy! I was planning on ordering thin crust though, however, I remembered we had a veggie pizza in the freezer and opted at home, less calories, less likely to gorge, and ordering pizza on Sunday. Lina's Pizza near us has a sale for buy one Jumbo pizza get a large free every Sunday until Super Bowl and their Pizza is like $15! I could feed a lot of people or save it for a day or two. :] I also opted to go a little over my calories (maybe 100) and meet my protein goal, even if it isn't by percent, it is by grams, so that is okay with me too. I appreciate all the awesome advice and I think cauliflower pizza would be good if it was instead a cauliflower crust with some nacho cheese & broccoli on top! Yummy in my tummy

We also eat pizza often, but we order less. We still order once every few weeks. lol Or more! I just make sure I limit my caloric intake and over estimate it. It is the sodium that kills because you think you gained and really it is water for a few days.
