I really haven't lost my motivation to continue to my exercise/fat loss journey, but today, my 5 month old Chi-Poodle, Bella, passed away. She'd been sick about two days and I took her to the vet on Wednesday, visited her Thursday and was told that she died this morning. I'll be making her casket and placing her with 3 of my cocker spaniels that passed. So, I guess it's more depression than lack of motivation. However, I still believe that God is good and is always right because I still have her brother (also 5 months old), my 3 other cocker spaniels (aged 12, 11 and 11) and a chihuahua (age 4).

pets are always part of the family. I lost 2 dogs 15 days apart, first a chow chow, then a husky... its was a family tragedy for sure. I said I wasnt gonna have a dog EVER again, one year later Maddox arrived (german shep/rott mix)..

I am sorry about Bella. Our pets are family.

Try not to let your grief be an opportunity not to take care of yourself though, and part of taking care of yourself is eating right.

Awww...poor little Bella. :( I know how you feel. I've had pets growing up...a whole zoo full. I share 4 pups with my ex-bf...they live at his house because he's got the land and they are used to his house...plus I can't afford them on my own. I still go see them...but not the same when I was used to being with them all day everyday for years. :( One is a cocker spaniel (cooper), one is a schnoodle (chewy), one is a cockapoo (barkely) and then there's my fav Charlie...mini schnauzer. Chew has Cushing's disease and lost his sight last year. He is on meds and is getting used to getting around. I know they are being taken care of so I'm okay with it. It's going to break my heart when he tells me one day that one of them has died. They're all relatively young...all under 6yrs old, so hopefully I have a while yet to be with them. Just focus on your other animals now...Bella is with you. :flowerforyou:

I am so sorry to hear about Bella. Pets are definitely part of the family. I've lost a dog and 3 cats in the past years and it breaks your heart. Take care of yourself and hold your other dogs just a little closer.

I am really soory for the loss of your dog Bella, I have lost dogs pver the last year or so too and it broke my heart and I have one who is very old and I wonder how much longer we will have her. They are my babies, my children have grown up and left the nest, these are definitely the next best thing!!
  • Thanks to everyone! I appreciate your kind words and can honestly say that though I've never met any of you, you all have to be wonderful, as well as all-around good folks!
