I eat fat, lots of it. Butter, nuts, coconut oil, lots of eggs, and cheese and I feel better than ever. I never eat low-fat, but I stay within my daily calorie allowance. I do however, eat very low sugar.
Curious if others agree with this article or not

disagree that saturated fats are "better" I would always advise people to stick to healthy fats, nuts, olive oil, canola oil, avocado oil based salad dressings stuff like that theres no legitimate reason to eat high saturated fats, besides, high sat fat will lead to heart disease which is a leading cause of death in the us thats diet related0

Definitely agree with the article. Saturated fats aren't bad and Dietary Guidelines are *kitten*.0

I like my fats, eat plenty of them. I avoid refined vegetable oils, but eat lotsa avocado, olive oil, coconut oil, butter, cheese, etc.
My blood tests always come back perfect.0 -
IMHO, there is a difference in saturated fats from natural sources, think nice juicy ribreye, and from the chemical factory hydrogenating oils to make them last forever. The problem with hydrogenation is that not only do the oils last longer in the food and not turn rancid, the digestive products last longer in your body.
Overall good article.0 -

How long has it been since you read the prevailing scientific opinion on this?
Excess fat on the body is more the culprit.

Go to an autopsy and listen as they cut through the arteries that are clogged from saturated and hydrogenated fats. It sounds like plastic. Skinny, healthy looking dead people get it too.
Sorry, people who have worked in the medical field post gross stuff.0
