I too think it's different for different people...I try my best to eat clean, so if its man made, i tend to stay away from it...no fast food, no junk. Mainly fresh and natural foods.
However I will allowed myself veg from a jar/can such as chopped plum tomatoes (for home made sauces), black olives..things like that...and whey protein but thats about it. I would say about 80%-85% of my diet is clean eating.

Fork, knife, napkin. JK, whatever your idea of clean eating is, it'll get destroyed in this thread for sure. I guess I would recommend eating foods that will benefit your body in some way by sticking as close as possible to foods in their natural state as often as possible while still enjoying the foods you eat enough to be able to stick with it for a long, long time preferably the rest of your days.

Are all of you lawyers or something? Geez. It's such a simple way to say, instead of Doritos and diet Pepsi, I choose to eat something more wholesome. Why do you all blow it so far out of proportion as to completely confuse the main purpose of the term? It's so simple and elegant. It means clean eating. Don't eat crap. It doesn't men never eat cheese cake. It means, on the whole, when making a decision about what to eat, think clean. It works for me. If you want to lawyer it, go ahead, but to me it's a clear and solid way to think about what I am eating.

Carry on micro analyzing something so simple.

Unprocessed or minimally processed foods. No added crap, no HFCS, sugar etc. People will say nothing boxed, bagged, or anything that's not "natural" however you can get minimally processed items that are in a box that don't have horrible ingredients.

    Just read the labels.
