Favorite Pinup Poses?

I told my husband that if I ever lost the weight to get down to where I was when we met in high school, I'd go get a professional pinup photo done. Seemed safe, as I was 208 lbs and a size 18/20 when I made the promise, and 160 lbs and a size 12/14 in high school. Well, here I sit at 164 lbs at a size 8/10, and I realize I've got to make that consultation appointment.

But what do I do? Wear? My favorite parts of me are still my eyes and back (tattoo over muscle looks awesome) and in the right shirt the "girls" look pretty good, too. Still, my belly is a wreck after kids, and I'm not a huge fan of my legs. Help, anyone?

I say google images could be your best friend! Why rack your brain when you have the internet at your fingertips??
Although, really whats wrong with the pose you have in your profile? something like that, or where you are looking back at the camera to show off your back in a seductive way?

^^ Betty Grable in a famous 1940's pin up. Loved by GI's the world over.

A friend of mine did something similar for her fiance's birthday. She used some of his jersey's (he's a big baseball fan), and they turned out great.

Talk to a professional photographer. They always have great ideas, and will have props you can use for a backdrop.

Oh, how fun! I did one a few years ago for my hubby's birthday. The girl I went to showed me exactly what poses to do, so if you find a real pro you won't need to worry about figuring it all out yourself. Here's a pic from my shoot, with my favorite pose!

Heya sweets! I love Pin-Up photography. I am the same way about my stomach (the stretch marks and all after kids) but you can find ways to cover and still be super sexy. I think for me the most important thing is to have a prop. That way you won't be all "what do I do with my hands??". If you google pin-up photography you can find lots of ideas, but any Pin-Up photographer worth their salt should have lots of fun props to choose from to use in your shoot. I have no trouble picking what to wear because I have a tonne of vintage clothes (love 'em, 'cause they suit my big bust and butt) but again, lots of things work and the photographer should be able to help you. One word of caution, though - lots of Boudoir Photographers *think* they can do Pin-Up, especially since it is so hot right now, but it takes a special skillset to coach the model the right way, so that you look more playful than sultry.

The best way to get the most out of your shoot is to practice some of your poses at home with a girlfriend so that you don't waste your time/money in the shoot with poses that make you uncomfortable. Just flirt with the camera, and they will come out beautifully!

I did a photo shoot too. It was great. Mine was more than just "pin up" but I think you'll enjoy doing it. Plus you'll have pictures to remind yourself of how great you look! Have fun!!!

Google image "vintage pin up" - I say a corset would be fun! Peeking over your shoulder would hide the tummy too. Fun idea!!

I love the pin up style of pictires and posing, I am hoping my girl may do one for me some day, she certainly has the legs and the figure for it.
