I wonder about starvation mode? If for instance I get 2000 cals a day. And I burn 400 calories in exercise, but only ACTUALLY eat 1500 calories would my body go into "starvation mode" ?

Starvation mode is highly over used as a term. You have to be severely undereating for a long period of time for anything like that is going to be a problem. Your body takes nutrients from the food that you actually eat so ignore the exercise calories as a factor.0
