You would think that would give motivation to anyone but not me. I was at my goal weight just 3 years ago and gained the 40 lbs back. Now I have nothing that fits. I don't know what is wrong with me. I already take anti depressants. I sleep too much, have no energy, no plan, binge eat for any reason. I can't get out if this funk!! I won't even let my husband get close to me anymore because I am so disgusted with myself. I need to get back on track!!!

I went through this when I gained some of the weight back that I'd lost. I would stare at my closet with tears in my eyes because I knew there were literally five things that fit. I got my head back into the game. I signed in here, and I made friends with my elliptical. Believe it or not, those things are not just clothing racks...lol. You did it once, and you can do it again. That's what I tell myself.
You CAN do this...0 -
It is like anything else... You will do it when you're ready. Hopefully, you're ready now. Just start by tracking everything. That's all. Then small changes like making it a point to ready your daily calorie goal (give or take a few calories). When this becomes habit, throw in exercise, or choose healthier food, or some other small change. Baby steps. And you will be amazed how quickly baby steps add up. I'm losing 1 - 1.5 lbs ea. week. At first, this seemed slow, because I'm used to the quick fix fad diets. But as the weeks have gone by, it seems like suddenly I'm down 20 lbs.
Good luck. You'll be glad you started.0 -
Unfortunately there is no way to get out of a funk other than to just do it. Try thinking how much better you might feel if you workout or control yourself when you feel the urge to binge?0

You may want to address these feelings and such with your doctor. Depression is a funny thing... Sometimes you have to keep working on treatment options to find the right treatment plan for you. Many of the symptoms you describe (fatigue, not wanting to get up, weight gain, etc.) are all related to depression. Once the depression is properly treated, then it will be easier to deal with this area as well. You are a person of value and you have much to offer the world... best wishes on your journey.0

I"m sorry you're having a hard time...I agree that you should talk to your doctor...not only can there be changes made with your current meds, it might be a good idea to have your thyroid tested if you haven't already. That can cause similar symptoms, especially when combined with depression. Best of luck!0

I understand that, unfortunately we leave our clean clothes in hampers and I decided to fold the stuff I could [socks, undies, tank tops, etc] and put them away. I also grabbed out all of the clothes I use to wear but can't and put them away. I have very little and some times I was able to wear in May when I purchased them. I just need to keep at it, it's hard sometimes. My main goal is to drink more water because I know it will keep me full at work. Tonight is going to be hard because my grandma is going to Red Lobster for endless shrimp, I won't be eating shrimp [don't like it], but I have to eat my meal and then just sip water while she finishes. It is really hard--just got to keep going.0
