I've read so much about daily fat intake, that I've now reached the point of confusion!! I try and stick to around 1200 - 1300 calories a day, with a fat target of 40g. I have read that I should be taking in somewhere between 43 to 65g a day. could you advise?
Many thanks, Katie

    Hey!
I try and consume 1200-1500 (max) of cals a day seeming that I'm short. To answer your question as best I can I just stick to 40g a day which MFP recommends sometimes I go over but with good fats like almonds, but not all the time.

    Hope that helps :)
  • Thank you, this is really helpful. I noticed today the fat content in three eggs...wow, I was shocked!!

I'm glad you asked that question because I don't know how much is good for the day either. I'm trying to do 1200-1300 calories a day. Some days are just too hard though. Like kids birthday parties with all the food there. LOL Other than those I do pretty good. Now that I have a ball park figure on fat I can monitor it more easily. I like almonds so eat those daily. I understand that that is good fat though. How much of the good fat can you have or is that added in to the total amount of fat your allowed daily?
