I know that they say the way to lose fat is to eat as little processed foods as possible and I am trying to do so but for breakfast normally I cant eat a lot that early so I just have a half a cup of cheerios. Will this hurt my progress and make my body hold onto fat because it is processed or will it not be that bad because it is just a little bit?

Your body doesn't "hold on to fat" if you eat process foods. Unprocessed foods are just generally better for your health and well-being. But a person can still lose weight eating cheerios and lean cuisines.
Just as a recommendation though, oatmeal for breakfast can also be quick, and way more filling than any sugary cold cereal.0
