Hello to the new me (and new friends)

Hi all
I'm new to this website and new to this idea of lifestyle change. I used to be "healthy" and very athletic. Then came baby and shortly after came reality of a busy life. Now I'm left with the extra stuff I don't need (fat).
I've never counted calories, or practiced portion control. (before baby) I was able to eat whatever I wanted and never worried. I was fairly health conscious before in order to maintain my lifestyle choices. I don't know where that went... maybe out the window with my little black dress.
Long of the short, I'm ready for change, and I'm ready now! I started (yesterday actually) using Slim-fasts 3-2-1 concept. 3 snacks, 2 shakes/meal bars, and 1 well balanced meal.
So far I'd say I'm doing great. hubby decided last night to take me to Chili's to celebrate my new drive to get healthy. I have NO IDEA what he was thinking. I hadn't had my 2nd shake or my last snack, so I was looking at roughly 300 calories left. I DID order food and added a house salad. I'm so proud of myself. I'm a tight wad, so not only did I SPEND money on going out to eat, but I also packed it up and didn't touch it. Generally I'd eat it all so it isn't wasted. I nibbled on my salad eating only about half. I did go over my calories a little but not enough to really fret about. Besides this is all about learning self control.

I hope to find some friends that are just as excited as me to lose some weight. Please send me a request if you're ready for a (weight) change
