Well, that pretty much sums up most of being a woman
But really, have you ever really busted your butt to loose weight and fail and cry then binge eat??
But really what I discovered was, I am trying way to hard....
I cannot go on a strict diet, but instead, change my life style.
Its so easy when you have a friend to tt and a great place to vent.
So now that I started back 3-8, I know I can do this without really even trying to hard that it makes me cry again.
I am on a mini goal of 8-10 lbs a month....
I want to be 150 by October , so I think that is 8.5 lbs a month....
Then I will set another goal for 135.....

8-10 lbs is actually a lot to lose in a month so be careful not to set yourself up for disappointment. You might drop that in the first month but it has taken me a year to lose 44 pounds. I was so discouraged b/c it seemed to come off so slow, but I never went hungry and learned to love exercise so I feel I have truly made lifestyle change. So that being said, just be careful your goals are not too lofty since you are all ready concerned about failure. If you set smaller goals and then achieve more you have achieved success plus some!!!! Good luck0

Strict diets only set you up for failure! The best and most sensible diet information you will find is in a book called The Abs Diet by David Zinczenko.
Everyone should own a copy of the Abs Diet. Another book(s) everyone should own are the books wrtten by Kevin Trudeau. Some have written him off as a quack, but everything he has written, I find to be truthful. The diet and health information contained in his books are invaluable.0 -
I set a goal of 2 lbs a month, then I'm pleasantly surprised if I lose more. 8 pounds a month is a lot!0

It really doesn't take a lot of hard work and I think that's why alot of people fail. It is a lifestyle change and you can't expect yourself to change overnight. I work out 3 times a week. I know some people who work out 6 days a week and I see them haven't less weight loss than me so you have to find what works for you in your schedule and around family. I refuse to let my work outs interfere with spending time with my family.
8-10 is alot per month to expect but do-able. I guess it just depends on how much you have to lose. If you have ALOT to lose, it will come off fast at first but the closer you get to your goal, the more is will slow down.0 -

That's because he is a quack.0 -
This is all good advice. I agree with everyone...they are sooooo right....If you put yourself on a strict "diet," you set yourself up for failure. It's a lifestyle change. You change the way you eat and exercise. You change the way you think about food. You analyze why you are running to the foods you do and find other ways to deal with those emotions. Find out how much you need to eat to maintain a healthy "diet." In other words, to loose 1-2 pounds a week. Any more than that, it's hard on your body.
Best wishes! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe in yourself!!!!! Set a goal! How important is this to you?????????? Do it!!! You CAN!0
