I see that people but bump when they like recipes. How do you bump?

    Alright, I'll bite.

    The word "bump" stems from trying to "bump" a thread to the top of the list, so it gets better visibility. This also puts the thread on your "My Topics" menu. So, instead of having to search through thousands and thousands of threads, you can easily go to one that you've already posted on.

    So, if you want to save a thread, but have nothing interesting to say on it, just saying "bump" is culturally acceptable.
