Ok so normally I run intervals up to 3 miles.... but as of the last few days, I have done something to my back. (i think it was when i was tossing my 7 year old around.) Well I can go so far and then I have to break on the running cuz my back starts throbbing. So stupid question but Im going to ask it...

If I break up my workouts into 3... 1 mile sessions, will the calorie burn be as effective as 1... 3 mile run?

I know it would be the same on the amount of calories burned I guess but would it be as effective, maybe this is redundant, idk...

3 miles is 3 miles. It doesn't matter if you run, walk, or skip them. The only difference is the amount of time. If you run 3 miles, then you will get the same calorie burn as walking them but, you will do it faster.

    Does that make sense?
