So I sold my little Cavalier last night and now I need to buy something.
My wife keeps pushing me for a Wrangler but, CRAP they got expensive.
a 2002 Sahara for 9 grand?

Are they as expensive in other parts of America?

    Well, the cheaper the better.
Personally I will drive anything that sits higher then my 1997 Cavalier did but, my Wife is really pushing for a Wrangler.
I was looking at CJ-7s but, I guess I am getting a bit too old to wrench on it every weekend.

What do you have as far as inexpensive Wranglers?

First off tell me how you might like your wrangler. They come in a Soft Top or Hard Top. I prefer Hard Top. And do you want a 2dr or 4dr? Standard or Automatic?

The Unlimiteds are going to be out of my price range so they are gone.

I don't mind a hard top if they are ultra cheap.
The only two "must have" items I need are
    AC
    6 cyl (V6 or straight 6)

Lets sum this up. What kind of payments do you want to be at and or how much do you want to spend?

Well, zero payments (I always pay cash) and I am hoping to pay around 7 grand for a post, 2000 Wrangler with AC

My wife is pretty stuck on a Jeep so it looks like I will need to save for a few months...
I could just bite the bullet and finance part of it but, MAN I hate car payments.

She even has a specific look in mind.
2 inch lift running on 31's
    Brush guard and tube steps.

Why am I thinking that she is going to keep my Jeep and I will be driving the Suburban?

Have you heard of the CALL OF DUTY edition JEEP Wrangler. Its pricey but has a 2in lift and is a Rubicon. It is SICK!

    It's also 35K.
If I am dropping that kind of coin, it is going to be an extension on my house with a full master bedroom and bathroom.
