Is this pack of veg ok for low carb diet? Because it says the carb content is 8 grams per 3 table spoons, why is it so high?

I was going to eat it with chicken and Chinese stir fry sauce?

Let me know what you think x

It contains carrots, peas and sugar, which all contain higher levels of carbs than veg usually eaten on low carb plans. Have you had a chance to read up properly on low carb ways of eating since deciding to do this? If not, then might be time to buy an Atkins book (or not do low carb) ;)

I have done research but I'm new to this which is why I'm looking for guidance and support from other low carbers on MFP :)

depends on how "low carb" you are trying to go.

Stir fry sauce is going to contain carbs too; maybe even worse carbs than veggies...
It looks like some of the carbsmight be because the veggies are seasoned including sugar.

I love to stir fry veggies and meats but I make my own sauce. I often use sugar when making sauce but not that much, 1tsp or something. I use loads of garlic and ginger to make it taste proper :)

Lowering carb intake is a great way to lose weight or manage weight, but the "cutting every carb from your diet ever" is confusing to the body. So, I'll concur with cheking into a low-carb book or website for a basic guideline of what's actully bad carb/good carb.

I hpe that was helpful in any respect.
