Cannot stop sleeping.

This past weekend, mostly the past two days, I haven't been able to stop sleeping. I would estimate that I slept around 55 of the 72 hours there were.
I am wondering if perhaps my intake of food may be too low? Maybe I've lost weight too fast (Not even a month and probably around 23-24 pounds, though, I always lose weight fast.) Maybe I just needed to catch up on my sleep?
Last week, I would sleep 4-5 hours at a time and around every 10 hours or so. I just want to see if there is something with my diet/exercise regime that could be causing these erratic sleep patterns.

Sometimes during a long week by the time Tuesday comes around (my work week is Sat-Wed) I'll get home and sleep until Wednesday morning. I usually attributed it to sleeping 4-5 hours a night and working 10-12 hour days and working out. Sometimes I think your body just needs to rest itself after a long week, as long as it's just every so often.0

I really struggled when my calories were lower, I felt so tired, even when I woke up I was shattered, I just couldn't shake it off. After 2 weeks I upped my cals and now feel much better and am still losing.0

How else do you feel besides tired? Maybe you have mono.0

Depression also shows itself as being 'tired' and wanting to sleep all the time.0

Just as a reminder, nobody here is qualified to give you medical advice. BUT...
What are your other symptoms? Just sleeping too much? If you also generally feel crappy, sore all over, like you've got a fever, etc., then you might be coming down with something. 'Tis the season, after all.
If you remember feeling like this around this time last year, too, then seasonal affective disorder might be worth looking into, especially if you live at northerly latitudes. Hypersomnia is a common symptom. You might also just be plain-ol' depressed, if you also feel down or blue and you don't remember this happening last year.
It is very possible that you're not eating enough, so up your calories for a week or two and see how you feel then.
Otherwise you might just be plumb tired.0 -
I don't believe I am depressed, lol. I may of just been worn out and needed to catch up on some sleep, I was lacking a bit of sleep last week so I may of just wanted to catch up. If the problem persists I will change my diet up a little bit, and if it persists after that, I may seek help.
Thanks for all the suggestions0
